Best wishes to all on Deepavali eve. At the outset I thank the lodge for the honor it has bestowed on me in electing me as the master for the coming year. A big thanks also goes specially to all the past masters for the guiding light they have always shown on me. I congratulate the immediate pasty master, W. Bro. Dr. K. S. Johar on his successful year. It is indeed an honor to serve as Worshipful Master of our lodge Mount Shivalik and I look forward to working with the newly elect officers of 2007. In this year we would like to take the opportunity to enhance youth participation in lodge activities, ceremonies and events. We will be encouraging more rehearsal nights to strive for excellence. A long standing wish of more ladies night and family get-togethers are also underway. I trust this will be an exciting year for all masons and each of us do our outmost to let our light shine that our good deeds be a beacon for others to follow. Ever strong as the two great pillars of King Solomon's temple on which the principles of Freemasonry are ingrained i.e. Faith, Hope, Charity, Brotherly love, Relief, Truth, Liberty, Equality and Fraternity. Brethren, I wish this year to be of happiness and fulfillment for all. To the casual visitor, our special and warm welcome goes to you. "Our Lodge Mount Shivalik is a regular Masonic Lodge
working under the Grand Lodge of India and entered as No. 283 in its
register. We meet at the Freemason’s Hall located in Sector 18-B, Chandigarh
during the 2nd Saturday of each month. Our prestigious lodge was
warranted on 7th May 1991 and consecrated on 21st June
1991.
